Version 1.0 Release Candidate 2
February 18th, 2009 by Share Your Board Team in Uncategorized
We have published Share Your Board RC2 on Android Market; check the Applications->Productivity section. New in this release:
- Auto-focus. Camera auto-focus is enforced by Share Your Board now, no more blurry images.
- Performance. We have improved the image processing speed in RC2; geometry transformation is soooo much faster in RC2.

I have a small request, the option to disable geometry transformation, but keep the auto color adjust and everything. I have a huge whiteboard in my office (like 8'x5'), and it's impossible to capture the entire thing at once (my office not that big, can't stand far enough to fit the whole thing in the camera frame). So I'd like to just capture one part at a time, and have that be stored. But the auto-crop usually messes up if there are no borders visible in the image, and will chop out parts of the drawings.

Hi, Mike,
pls check the Productivity section on the market, or use the search feature and type 'Share Your Board'. In what country are you trying to find the app btw?

I'm in the US, on an ADP phone. I used to be able to find it in the market, but not any more.

Turns out Google did this. Developer phones have been blocked from viewing or downloading copy-protected apps from the market. More here:

You need to update your dev phone to the latest firmware. Retail phones got the update automatically over the air, I'm not sure on the procedure for updating the dev phone. I guess they leave you more to fend for yourself if you buy the dev phone.

My firmware is absolutely up to date. This issue is not firmware related. Read the link I attached in the previous post.

Hi, Mike,
we were not aware of the issue with dev phones and android market copy settings, but we disabled the problematic settings until this will be fixed by Google. We hope you would be able to download and use Share Your Board now.
We also would like to mention that we plan to release an update to the app some time next week: this update will further improve the whiteboard edge detection as well as image enhancement.

Yes, that fixed it. Thanks.
I'll look for the update.
