Version 1.0 Release Candidate 4

We have released the RC4. In this version there are a couple of new features:
- Search-by-comments: start typing anywhere in the main Share Your Board view and the search box will pop up. The text you are typing in is used to search the images by their comments.
- Optional image processing steps: now you can turn on and off the image processing steps. Check the Menu->Settings.
We have fixed the color processing for the cases when a corner of the whiteboard was not captured. If the color correction is enabled it will be filled with white.
The phone should have it’s firmware upgraded to version 1.1 in order to work with RC4.

This is a very clever app, it should save me a tonne of time as I take pictures of whiteboards all the time. I have a massive library of captures on my digital camera at very high res. This app will replace it which is fantastic.
Just out of interest. How would I do this kind of image processing on my old hi-res captures? I only have photoshop.

Hello there. This is a fantastic app, but for two quibbles:
1. I cannot enlarge the captured image to take a closer look on my phone. I have to use a file manager to navigate to the folder and open from there. Being able to do that from the app would be nice.
2. My HTC Hero has a 5mpx camera, but this only gives me a 1mpx image. When snapping a large whiteboard (6'x4'), smaller text (< 1 inch high) cannot be read at all, because it's too blurry. An option to use the camera's maximum available resolution will be nice.

Does not work with the Droid. Never get past taking the photo.

Hi,
I always get an "Oops… Not able to complete image processing; no memory left. Would you liek to send a problem report?" after taking a picture.
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError
Which is weird, because I have 250MB free internal memory on my phone (myTouch running CynaogenMod-4.2.3.1)
That's too bad, because it sounds so promising

The app doesn't seem to work with the Motorola Droid and Android 2.0. When the camera button is clicked, no image is captured.

Where did you find this for Droid… I searched the marketplace for 'ShareYourBoard' and returned 0 results… I understand it's not working, but i'd still like to find it. lol.

Using a Samsung Moment on Sprint's CDMA network in the USA, this app does not seem to be in the market. Any idea what's going on?

there is a Windows program called whiteboardphoto that does this. You import any JPG image from a digital camera, tell it the borders of the whiteboard or sheet of paper, and it gives you nice and clean image.

I also can't find the app. Not even when using a QR barcode on different sites.
Tried toe contact the guys but haven't received any response from them.

is 'shareyour board' not available in india ? i have tried searching but does not shoe up on my android market in india. have also searched in europe (while travelling), but could not find. is it a problem with my phone. i use htc hero.

You can find this application if you have Android 1.6

This is a neat app I was really looking forward to having on my Eris, but can’t now because it hasn’t been released to the marketplace for the Eris (and a bunch of other phones).
It doesn’t look like there’s been any changes to the website for over half a year. Where’s the developer? Has this project been abandoned? (It would be a shame if that were the case…)

I just uninstalled it because it kept crashing. Then went to look for new version in Market and it is not there under Apps/Productivity or thru a search. Have a T-Mobile G.
What gives? Not even a link on the website.
Please advise.

Does anyone know how to contact the ShareYourBoard developer outside this forum?
I don’t want to see this project die. If they are abandoning the program, I’d consider taking it (either as an open-source project or buying it from them). They can contact me here if they’re open to either idea.

I’ve had my droid since december however needed to get a substitute as a result of the software program ruined my cellphone when it up to date itself. So for sure having troubles & discovered this glorious website lol i do have a questio tho…my ram storage is gettin smaller & smaller..is there nethin i can do to help get sum again?
